Guide for Using the 'Invite Additional Parents' Feature

The "Invite Additional Parents" feature in GameSafe allows you to add other parents or guardians to your account, giving them read-only access to monitor the children’s activities. These additional parents/guardians can view the children's data and reports but will not be able to make any changes, such as adding/removing children or editing children's information.

This feature is free of charge, and the invited parent/guardian will receive an email with instructions to register on GameSafe.

Steps:

1. Login to the GameSafe Parent App:

Open the GameSafe app on your Android device, and log in with your credentials.

2. Go to Settings:

Tap on the Settings tab at the bottom-right of the app.

3. Find ‘Invite Additional Parents’:

Scroll to locate the "Invite Additional Parents" feature and tap on it.

4. Input Parent Details:

You will see two fields to fill:

Parent Name: Type in the name of the additional parent or guardian.

Parent Email: Provide the email address of the person to invite.

5. Click ‘Invite Parent’:

After filling in both fields, tap "Invite Parent" to send the invitation email.

6. Confirmation:

You will receive a message confirming that the invite has been successfully sent.

What Happens Next?

Once the invite is sent, the additional parent or guardian will receive an email containing:

A welcome message explaining their read-only access.

A link to register for GameSafe.

Instructions for logging in and monitoring children’s activities.

Upon completing registration, the invited parent will be able to view children’s reports and activities but will not have the ability to modify or delete any data.

Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
The invited parent/guardian does not receive the invite email.

Solution:
Ask the additional parent to check their spam or junk folder. Ensure that the email address entered was correct. Resend the invitation through the "Invite Additional Parents" feature.

When entering the email address, an error occurs, indicating an invalid email format.

Double-check the email format and ensure it follows the correct structure (e.g., example@domain.com).

Issue:
The "Invite Parent" button is greyed out or unresponsive.

Ensure that both the Parent Name and Parent Email fields are completed correctly. Refresh the page or restart the app if necessary.

Issue:
The invited parent does not show up under your account as having read-only access.

Solution:
Wait for the invited parent to complete their registration. If they are still not appearing, reach out to GameSafe support for further assistance.

Issue:
You accidentally enter the wrong email address.

Solution:
You can resend the invitation by entering the correct email address. If you need to revoke access for the wrong address, contact GameSafe support.
