Guide for Using the 'Subscription Details' Feature
The "Subscription Details" section in GameSafe provides parents with an overview of their current subscription status, including its validity, renewal date, and how to cancel it depending on the payment method used (Stripe, Google Play, or Apple Pay).
This guide will walk you through how to view and manage your subscription across different devices, and what to do if you need to cancel your subscription.
Steps:
1. Open GameSafe App:
Launch the GameSafe app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Access Settings:
Tap on the Settings tab located at the bottom-right of the app interface.
3. Go to ‘Subscription Details’:
Scroll down in the settings menu and tap on "Subscription Details."
4. View Subscription Information:
You will be able to see:
Subscription Status: Whether it is active or expired.
Validity: The end date of the current subscription period.
Renewal Date: If the subscription automatically renews, the date will be displayed here.
5. Cancel Subscription (Apple Pay Users):
If the subscription was purchased through Apple Pay, you must cancel it via the iOS app by tapping "Cancel Subscription". This will redirect you to Apple Pay to manage and cancel your subscription.
What Happens After Cancellation?
After you cancel your subscription:
Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
You will not be charged again, and your subscription will not renew.
Solution: Refresh the page or restart the app. Ensure you are logged into the correct account. If the issue persists, contact GameSafe support for assistance. Issue: Parents are trying to cancel an Apple Pay subscription via the web or Android app but are unable to do so. Solution: Apple Pay subscriptions must be managed and canceled through the iOS app. If you're attempting this on another platform, switch to the iOS app to proceed with cancellation. Issue: The "Cancel Subscription" button does not appear in the app or web. Solution: Ensure the subscription was purchased via Stripe or Google Play (for web and Android) or Apple Pay (for iOS). If the button is still missing, try restarting the app or web browser. Contact support if the issue remains. Issue: You canceled your subscription, but it's still listed as active. Solution: Subscriptions remain active until the current billing cycle ends. If your subscription does not update after the billing cycle ends, contact GameSafe support. Issue: You accidentally purchased the subscription on the wrong platform (e.g., bought via Apple Pay but you primarily use Android). Solution: Cancel the subscription via the platform where it was purchased (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Play, or Stripe) and re-purchase the subscription on your preferred platform.
