Guide for Deleting Your GameSafe Account

Important Information:

Before proceeding, please note that deleting your GameSafe account will permanently delete all data linked to your account, including:

Parent information.

Child profiles and related data.

Alerts and usage reports.

Any screenshot taken from any of your children's devices

Any settings or preferences.

This action is irreversible. Additionally, if you have an active subscription, you must cancel it before deleting your account. You can do this either through the subscription cancellation feature in the dashboard or directly via your payment provider (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Stripe).

Steps:

1. Login to the GameSafe Parent App:

Open the GameSafe app on your Android device and log in with your credentials.

2. Go to Settings:

Tap on the Settings tab at the bottom-right of the app screen.

3. Scroll to ‘Delete Your Account’:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find the "Delete Your Account" button.

4. Click ‘Delete Your Account’:

A confirmation pop-up will notify you that this action is permanent and will erase all data associated with your account.

5. Confirm Deletion:

If you are sure, tap "Confirm" on the pop-up window. If not, click "Cancel" to exit.

6. Cancel Subscription (if applicable):

If you have an active subscription through Google Pay, cancel it through your Google Play Subscriptions settings before deleting your account.

7. Complete Deletion:

Once confirmed, your account and all data will be permanently deleted.

Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
The "Delete Your Account" button might be disabled.

Solution:
Ensure you’ve cancelled any active subscriptions. If you’re still unable to delete the account, contact GameSafe support.

Issue:
You attempt to delete the account but receive an error indicating an active subscription.

Solution:
Navigate to the Manage Subscription tab in your GameSafe dashboard to cancel the subscription. You can also manage your subscription through your payment provider (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Stripe).
Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
You click the delete button, but no confirmation pop-up appears.

Solution:
Try refreshing the page or restarting the app. If the issue persists, clear the cache for the app or browser and try again.
Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
After deleting the GameSafe account, the subscription continues to charge.
💡
Solution:
Contact your payment provider directly (Apple, Google, or Stripe) to ensure the subscription is fully cancelled.
