Guide for Deleting Your GameSafe Account

Important Information:

Before proceeding, please note that deleting your GameSafe account will permanently delete all data linked to your account, including:

Parent information.

Child profiles and related data.

Alerts and usage reports.

Any screenshot taken from any of your children's devices

Any settings or preferences.

This action is irreversible. Additionally, if you have an active subscription, you must cancel it before deleting your account. You can do this either through the subscription cancellation feature in the dashboard or directly via your payment provider (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Stripe).

Steps:

1. Login to the GameSafe Parent App:

Open the GameSafe app on your iPhone or iPad, and log in using your account credentials.

2. Go to Settings:

Tap on the Settings tab located at the bottom-right of your screen.

3. Scroll to ‘Delete Your Account’:

Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings page to locate the "Delete Your Account" button.

4. Click ‘Delete Your Account’:

A confirmation pop-up will appear, warning you that all your account data will be permanently deleted and this action is irreversible.

5. Confirm Deletion:

If you're sure, tap "Confirm" in the pop-up window. If not, tap "Cancel" to back out of the process.

6. Cancel Subscription (if applicable):

If you have an active subscription through Apple Pay, ensure you cancel it through your Apple ID Subscriptions settings in the App Store before completing the account deletion.

7. Complete Deletion:

After confirmation, your account will be deleted, and all linked data will be erased.

Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
The "Delete Your Account" button might be disabled.

Solution:
Ensure you’ve cancelled any active subscriptions. If you’re still unable to delete the account, contact GameSafe support.

Issue:
You attempt to delete the account but receive an error indicating an active subscription.

Solution:
Navigate to the Manage Subscription tab in your GameSafe dashboard to cancel the subscription. You can also manage your subscription through your payment provider (Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Stripe).
Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
You click the delete button, but no confirmation pop-up appears.

Solution:
Try refreshing the page or restarting the app. If the issue persists, clear the cache for the app or browser and try again.
Troubleshooting Tip:
Issue:
After deleting the GameSafe account, the subscription continues to charge.
💡
Solution:
Contact your payment provider directly (Apple, Google, or Stripe) to ensure the subscription is fully cancelled.
