Guide for Updating Your Password on GameSafe
Overview:
You can update your password through the GameSafe dashboard by following these steps. The process is similar across web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge), iOS, and Android devices.
Steps:
1. Login to GameSafe on Your iPhone/iPad:
Open the GameSafe app on your iOS device and log in with your credentials.
2. Access Settings:
Tap on the menu (three horizontal lines) or gear icon to open the settings menu.
Select "Settings" from the options.
3. Select Update Password:
Tap on "Update Password."
You will see the fields:
Current Password
New Password
Confirm New Password
4. Enter Current Password:
In the first field, type in your current password.
5. Enter New Password:
In the second field, type in your new password, making sure it follows the required guidelines (8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and a number or symbol).
6. Confirm New Password:
In the third field, retype the new password to confirm it.
7. Save Changes:
Once all fields are correctly filled, tap "Save" or "Update."
8. Success:
A confirmation message will indicate your password has been updated.
Troubleshooting Common Issues on iOS:
Wrong Current Password: Error: "Current password is incorrect." Solution: Carefully re-enter your current password. If you cannot remember it, use the "Forgot Password?" option to reset it via email.
Password Mismatch: Error: "New passwords do not match." Solution: Make sure both new password entries match exactly. Enter the same password in both fields.
Weak New Password: Error: "Password does not meet the requirements." Solution: Ensure your new password follows all requirements (8 characters, one uppercase, one lowercase, and one number/symbol). Edit the password and try again.
